How I Can Help

I help Teens with Mental Health, ADHD and Learning Disabilities issues successfully transition from high school to post-secondary education.

I work with Parents and Teens during all stages of their time in high school and post-secondary.

Covid-19 has amplified the learning challenges our Teens face.  Advanced planning matters now more than ever.

I was once in your shoes. I had a teen with learning disabilities. Intelligent and capable of post-secondary education.

Unfortunately, there was little help, no plan, no mentor. Through hard work and determination, I created the roadmap for success.

This plan works. It’s proven.  And it can work for you.

Every success plan has 3 stages, customized to the needs of your Teen.

PREPARE | TRANSITION | THRIVE

Stage 1
PREPARE
Grades 9 to 12

This stage lays the foundation. We start with an assessment of the student's needs and then create a comprehensive roadmap and calendar to prepare for the progression to post-secondary. We focus on strengthening the skills required for independent learning and living.

Stage 2
TRANSITION
Grade 12 to 1st year

The best transition is planning ahead and being super organized. There are many components getting to the first day of class. We coordinate in areas such as Accessibility Services, technology, living accommodations, academic course load, and personal business. We create a concrete plan and to do list for the months leading up to the start of the first year.

Stage 3
THRIVE
1st Year & Onwards

This is the phase where we reach the summit! In the first year of post-secondary, we continue to monitor student success. We ensure that all accommodations are working well, making academic and personal adjustments as needed. Troubleshooting is key. At this point, all our hard work and preparations pay off, giving the student the best chance to thrive in post-secondary.
